FAQs
What should I do in case of an emergency?
If the patient's life or that of other people is threatened at this time, call 911, a psychiatric emergency service or an inpatient center. You can also visit the Emergency area of the nearest health center.
Is my visit confidential?
Confidentiality is an essential principle in our center, both in relation to the topics discussed in the sessions, and their presence in our offices. This principle can only be broken in the following situations:
- If your life or the lives of others are in danger.
- If the therapist or psychiatrist needs to consult with another professional.
- If required by law.
What hours do you work at the center?
Working hours vary depending on the therapist or psychiatrist, but our offices are open from 8:00am to 8:00pm, Monday through Friday.
How long does each session last?
Usually a psychotherapy session lasts about 50 minutes, however, it could vary depending on the therapist and/or service.
What is the cost of the sessions?
The cost of each session varies depending on the professional and the service you receive. Please call our offices for more information.
What are the available payment options?
Payments must be made prior to the session, in cash, check, or wire transfer. If you require a payment agreement, it must be discussed and approved by your therapist in advance.
Do you accept health insurance?
You can get reimbursement coverage for any of the services you receive as long as it is previously approved by your insurance company.
What if I am late or unable to attend my appointment?
You should try to get to your appointment on time. If you arrive later than coordinated, your therapist will only be able to see you for the remainder of the session, and the cost for the session will remain the same.
Each therapist has their own cancellation policy. Please refer to this if you must cancel your appointment less than 24 hours in advance. You have the option of receiving your session by phone or Skype. Please inquire about this option before making the cancellation. In the event that you do not notify the cancellation in the time indicated, nor schedule the session by Skype or telephone, you will have to pay for the total amount of the session.
What is the referral policy?
Your therapist may find it necessary to supplement your treatment with other therapies/ services. These may include: Psychological Evaluation, Psychiatric Evaluation, Addiction Therapy, Relaxation Therapy, Art Therapy, and/or the Intensive Recovery Program.
